
Marc Stanes started photographing at 14 with a camera borrowed from his Father.
A photographer for over 25 years his commissions have taken him all over the world.
He has photographed many diverse individuals from Royalty to World leaders and he has undertaken commissions for some of the most prestigious corporate and private clients.
Since 2003 he has photographed extensively in South Africa for the Mandela Rhodes Foundation and his acclaimed portraits of Nelson Mandela form part of the Mandela visual legacy.
In 1994 Marc Stanes held his first solo photographic exhibition at Jonathan Cooper in London based on his still life photographs. He has since had numerous group and solo exhibitions in many countries with works in private and public collections worldwide.

Marc Stanes is currently working on his new exhibition to be held at Jonathan Cooper in September 2010 which will be accompanied by a book of his work to be published in London and Cape Town.
